Car was offered at:
auction.catawiki.com/kavels/1586741-jaguar-xk140-roadster-se-1956
Sold at € 35,000.

Sellers description:
Jaguar xk140 Roadster SE - 1956
Matching numbers and original engine Special Equipment

Very nice matching numbers Jaguar XK 140 Roadster SE

Original colour black with red interior. Very beautiful colour combination. Decent chassis, no damage.
Body needs some welding, but other than that intact and no damage from accidents.

Complete as far as we can see. The car was imported to the Netherlands and got a USA title (registration)

Solid chassis, a very nice restoration project. These cars are rare and not many are available any longer. Original engine and gearbox, a Jaguar Heritage Certificate in the buyer's name can be arranged.

A good investment for the future, parts can be obtained and there are some good places where you can have the restoration done.

The car can be viewed by appointment in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
