Sellers description:
Delivered new in New Zealand in 1951. This XK120 Roadster has had only three owners. Locked in a garage for some thirty years it was discovered and purchased in the early eighties by Ray Woods the then president of the Jaguar car club of NZ who owned the car until he retired in 1994. In June 94 it was sold to David Dickeson and transported to Melbourne. The odometer reading at the time was 42000 miles. The 120 is in excellent condition inside and out. The original roof, side curtains, rear wheel spats, jack and most tools are with the car. Currently showing 78442 genuine miles this early factory RHD example has matching numbers and would be a pleasure to own and enjoy.
Some modifications have been undertaken to improve her usability, these include.
Electronic ignition.
New front shockers and rear springs.
Master and slave cylinders have been resleeved with stainless steel.
Modern radiator core fitted to both top and bottom tanks with a thermo fan installed to guard against over heating in todays traffic.
A modern alternator, fuel pump and onboard battery charger keep her ready to go at a moments notice.
Engine bay wiring has been heat shielded.
To make this car a little more special it's SE spec's boast high lift cam's, twin exhaust and fog lights.
Here is a very original, very usable and extremely well maintained XK120.

This car was subject of an article in NZ Classic Car magazine Volume 5 No 7, July 1995. Some details vary from above. Owned by Ray Woods at the time, article refers to 61,000miles recorded, and Woods having bought car in 1968 from dealer in Rotorua (Harry Phillip). Also refers to accident hitting lamppost in car, and subsequent repairs.
