According to the Jaguar Heritage production record certificate, this stunning XK was dispatched new 15th July 1955 by supplying dealer Coombs & Son of Guildford, Surrey to its first owner "The First Air Trading Co Ltd" of London who's business was buying and selling aircrafts.
Chassis number 807196 was subject to a comprehensive nut and bolt restoration 2010-2011 which was carried out by the leading restorers in the industry, Chassis by Leaping Cats, Body by RS Panels / Contour craft, Engine & Gearbox Brian Reid, Paint by Brookfield Classics, Hood & Interior trim by GB Classics Ltd. The result is an absolutely stunning car built to concours standard. Photographic library of the restoration on file accompanies the car.
In 2017 we sent the car to Twyford Moors XK Specialists for a full service and check over which included upgrading the gearbox to a new 5 speed T5 gearbox. Numerous parts were replaced and works carried out to bring the car up to top standard at a cost of over £15,000.
A few sympathetic upgrades have been carried out such as EZ Steering power steering unit, front disc brakes, SU HS8 carburettors, electric fuel pump, 5 speed T5 Gearbox, 4 spoke Wooden rim steering wheel.
A beautiful example of a true classic.
