Seller's description:
Carrosso
Jaguar Series - XK 140 FHC SE
1955 Coupé 9678 km € 99,500
Unique! Number 28 out of the total of 8937 XK140 produced, as this is a very old copy, components of the XK120 can be found.
The first 30 XK140s were produced with XK120 parts and details, those after these 30 were `` normal '' XK140s without the XK120 details.
Details include the XK120 logo, a chrome strip on the hood and a late XK120 steering wheel.
A few years ago this Jaguar was fully restored and kept its original color scheme: Pacific Blue with red leather interior. The XK is still in perfect condition, both exterior and interior and technical! A full photo report of the restoration is available! The engine has also been overhauled, a test report from the overhaul company is available. The engine only traveled 17,000 km after the overhaul.

Car now offered at:

Auction description:
1955 Jaguar XK140
Colour Pacific Blue
Odometer 6,014 Miles
Engine size 3442
Town Steenwijk
Location International
Country Netherlands
• Number 28 of the 8937 produced
• Recent complete restoration
• Low mileage
As was the case with early XK140s this particular car retains a few legacy parts and details from the previous model, including the logo, chrome bonnet strip and steering wheel from the XK120.
Having benefited from a complete restoration, including a thorough engine overhaul in its recent history, this XK140 looks fantastic and drives exceptionally well too.
The Paperwork
The car comes complete with a full photo report of the restoration as well as an engine test report from the company who carried out the recent engine work.
A valid Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate is also included.
The Interior
The red leather interior is immaculately well-presented with all of the hide having been re-trimmed in the past and it's in exceptional condition.
The carpets look brand new with no damp areas or wet spots and the dashboard is intact with no, splits or sun damage. The wooden veneer trim is ageing well and there is no hazing or cracking.
All gauges and instruments work exactly as they should and all switchgear is present, correct and functions perfectly. The boot space is equally tidy and comes complete with a full size spare.
The Exterior
Thanks to the restorative work the Pacific blue paintwork is in fine shape. The bodywork doesn't appear to carry any damage or sloppy repairs and there is no indication of any corrosion anywhere on the car.
All of the chrome pieces are in great condition, free from any pitting or discolouration and combined with the wire wheels really set off the exterior. The original leather bonnet strap is present and correct and has not frayed.
The Mechanics
The big, six-cylinder engine looks great with its polished chrome valve covers, ignition coil and carburettors and its a clean and tidy affair under that long bonnet. The recent engine overhaul ensures that this big cat should purr just as it did when it left the factory.
The car is poised and sits level on its suspension with no sagging or leaning to either side.
