Seller's description reads:
The car was imported from the US back in 1990 and then restored in Alsace (France). I do not have a file of the restoration. The Alsacian owner sold it in 2000. The current owner engaged it in rallyes in Sicily, in Belgium, in Russia, and France (regularity only).
Were recently replaced water pump, radiator hose connections and belt, crankshaft damper, rear axle shaft oil seals, driveshaft, ignition (Mallaury), carburettors (reconditioned), dynamo, rear road springs, SS exhaust pipe, in addition to the regular services (drainings, greasing, plug cores, timing chain tension, a.s.o.)
The hood, quasi unused, is not in perfect state. This Jaguar is regularly used by its current owner, who does not hesitate to use it on long distances tours. Hence it has a very nice “patina” which gives it a really authentic sight. If you're looking for a concours winner or seek for a trailer queen, this one will disappoint you.
