We have on offer for you here a truly excellent June 1950 Jaguar XK120 Roadster which was first exported to Australia and purchased by a Mr. McDoughall in January 1951. It has been in the cherished possession of the present private owner since 1992 and chassis records appear to show that this vehicle is the 126th car off the Jaguar production line which would make it one of the first cars manufactured after the all aluminium model ceased production.
We are informed by the vendor that this particular car has the aluminium bonnet, doors and wings and it was fully restored upon its return to these shores in 1988. It has the same, but a later, Mk7 engine and the much preferred manual four speed gearbox whilst it still retains its original pressed wheels and rear wheel spats and is described by the vendor as being excellent to drive.
This excellent example has had some recent paint and chromework completed by Derek Watson Jaguar, a new tonneau cover supplied and it is being sold with the current V5 registration document confirming, what is we believe, its original registration number - PFF 481.
