Car to be at auction 1/12

Auction description:
An Important Auction of Grand Prix, Competition, Touring & Rally Cars and Collectors Items
Sat 14th January 2012 at 12:30pm
Lot 247 - 1951 Jaguar XK120 Roadster
Estimate: £70,000 - £80,000
Registration Number: ZM 2174
Chassis Number: 660808

This XK120 Roadster was manufactured on 23rd May 1951 and delivered to Dublin on the 15th June where it is believed it remained until 1958. Subsequently the car returned to England and remained in storage and in 1980 was signed over to the then owner's wife. Purchased by the current owner in 2003, 660808 has had 3 registered keepers since 1958, two of which were in the same family. Purchased by the 3rd keeper in 2003 the car underwent a restoration which was completed in December 2005 and as a result it is described as being in excellent condition throughout.

Supplied with a V5 document, buff log book, heritage certificate, MoT certificates dating back to 2006 with a current example valid until March 2012, this matching numbers icon of classic British engineering is an excellent example of the iconic British sports car.
