This car was heavily modified (body and mechanicals) and raced very successfully in the 1960s and 1970s by John Harper and John (Plastic) Pearson. Later sold to Tony Hildebrand of Straight Six. A comprehensive history of the car’s racing pedigree appears in The Jaguar XK120 In Competition by Dr James Fraser, pp406-409.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
