This completely restored XK 120 was the last fixed head coupe off the

production line back in July of 1954. Trimmed in the rare Suede Green inside and

out, there is no finer example of a FHC. Powered by the revolutionary double

An example of the rarest of all XK120 variants, chassis number ‘S669195’ is one of only 194 right-hand drive fixed-head coupés made and the last of its type to be produced. Its accompanying Jaguar Heritage Certificate records that the car - registered ‘GJL 300’ - was sold new via dealer Austin Munks, of Boston, Lincolnshire to one A Henshaw, of Mablethorpe. The car was the subject of a total restoration carried out between July 1996 and May 1997 by respected marque specialist, Nigel Dawes, who had bought it from Paul Foulkes. After completion the XK, still registered ‘GJL 300’, was sold via an intermediary to a collection in the USA, remaining in that country until 2007.
Inspected and improved by marque specialists JD Classics, the car is presented today in very good/concours condition and represents a rare opportunity to acquire a fully restored XK120 with all numbers matching. ‘S669195’ has been refinished in its original Suede Green livery, with matching leather interior, and is offered with a photographic record of its restoration, MoT to April 2009 and Swansea V5 registration document. It is hoped that the original registration mark ‘ GJL 300’ will have been retrieved by time of sale.
