According to CJA, LHD car chassis number 670071 was originally the RHD car chassis number 660003. Car # 660003 was converted to LHD and became 670071 on 1-20-1950. The original motor W1007-7 was replaced by W1137-8, and body F1119 fitted.

This car was the 1949 show car at Earls Court. Its stamped chassisnumber is still visible on the front xmember. The car got converted to LHD by the factory and got the new chassisnumber 670071. This is stamped on the front left corner of the chassis as Mk IV. All trim parts still carry the pencilmarks F1016, its body number. The car is now archeologically restored. Wood had to be partially replaced. No more than 100 cm2 of Aluminium had been discarded. The leathers of the seats and several trimpanels could be safed. All thanks to its first owner outside the first owner family, Christian Jenny.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
