I think also the car is in Italy, having seen it in a well know event.

this car should be the Parravano Special , the alloy 120 slightly modified by a team Parravano, based in US, where some stuff , engines and parts were sold in the last years. It was told to me from US that this racing team also did some speed records attempts.
I repeat I saw this car rallying in Italy about 6 years ago .

In 1993 this car was offered to me from a German owner. I still have some pictures which show the car in "to be restored" condition. By no doubt, theres am American V8 engine instead of an XK engine. As I remember I was told it was a Cadillac engine. It would be interesting to learn where the car ended.

Ok I will try a reserach of the car, because I know the rally managers where I saw the car about 6 years ago. The owners where italians.
I will ask for their names and their phone number , to ask where the car is now. Also on an italian old car magazine, I red the story of that car, arrived in Italy about 10 years ago we can say.
Can Peter Kellenberger let me know if, when he saw the car, the car was not a normal 120 but with several modifications, as I suppose the modifications were did before the restoration, but not sure.
As example the engine fitted was a late 120 or 140 with C type head, and with air scoop on the upper part of rear fenders ! Also alloy not original dash and a lot more.

hi Terry, yes my investigation about the Parravano is going strong ! Now I have the name of the italian drivers I saw at the Nuvolari Grand Prix of few years ago. Now I will search for their Club to obtain their phone numbers. I will contact them and ask where the car is now.

as promised, I checked this car during its FIVA renewal, and I must say that it is the true object and it is still in Italy. It was imported in Italy long time ago.
It is fitted with a 120 late engine powered with triple Webers, C type head ,not the one mentioned above, the body is the original one modified in the period by Parravano, as per period pictures , and maintains all the original parts,like the ENV differential,the front suspensions' early brackets and more. It was modified only in the firewall are, the boot similar to LT2 as the doors, the bonnet" Ferrari period type", the front without the headlight pods and similar to C types. Vanes for cooling the engine and brakes are everywhere. Not original racing dash. Very dark Blue color. Complete ,very interesting and really complete history . I still maintain its original engine and I suggested to the owner to stay in his powered one.

I forgot to mention that in 2016 I founded on the car its original body number tag on the black painted firewall, difficult to note by the not experts, due to its position .

A brief note : I bought a stuff of 120 parts from California, around 2009, comprehensive of 2 alloy 120 engine blocks and a lot more . . . .
