S.P.J's son, Seppo Keinänen drove this same car in Eläintarhanajot (Djurgårdsloppet) in 1952 but did not finish (DNF) in 1953 he was 3rd in the Sportscars class GT 2.0L+ leaving behind him (in 4th) the only Aston Martin DB2 in Finland (1st and 2nd went to Allards that year)

some photos taken at Eltsu Sprint (rallycross race) not racing, but old cars were allowed to parade on the track they raced in the 1950's, This particular car won (1.OA) the race in 1951 and was 2nd in 1950 and 3rd in 1952, sold and used as a regular production road car.

sorry, a small mistake in the above: DNF in 1952 (brake problem), 3rd in 1953!

This car appears in the programme for the "Djurgårdsloppet" 1950 race did it run?

Hi Terry, yes, it came second overall, after a very special Swedish "Ford Special", the rules were very open, if almost non-existing! A video of the 1950 race in here: yle.fi/elavaarkisto/artikkelit/f3-sarja_toista_kertaa_elaintarhassa_4414.html

Also Michael Head (UK) in an XK120 in the same final and ch. #670057 driven by an Argentinian, Mr. Adolfo Schwlem, but he finished secod to last I think, i can chek the official results tomorrow. The car however was not owned by him at all, but by SMK, the Finnish distributor. 670202 then again had been ordered and bought and registered as AO-490 already only ca. one week before the race by Mr. S. P. J. Keinänen, a car salesman himself as well...

I have AP.300 as 670292

Hi Chris, absolutely right, we have now confirmed that AP-300 was #670292 and it was destroyed in a fire in Kirkkonummi, Finland in 1959. but still we do not know where the 1st owner, Mr. Leo Motzkin got it from. Buying cars and importing them was very very restricted in Finland back in those days, Cheers!
