This stunning example has been tastefully restored in its original stylish colors of Cream paint with a dual biscuit/red interior with a Fawn soft top, complimented perfectly by the chrome wire wheels. This car was dispatched and left the factory November 3rd, 1950, as a 1951 model and shipped to the Jaguar distributor in Los Angeles California. As documentation shows, it went to its first owners Mr. and Mrs. G M Bell April 25th, 1951. In 1991, following a series of documented owners along the west coast, the car ended up in the hands of a fortunate owner who took it upon himself to research and return the car to its former glory. During the next 18 years of ownership, a complete frame off restoration was completed, including fresh cream paint, restored interior, engine and electrical. Over the years the car has retained its numbers matching engine block/cylinder head combination, as well as its numbers matching transmission, a particularly impressive accomplishment given common trend of updating these engines with higher compression heads. During the restoration the owner wanted a car that would also be usable and functional; with that came the addition of XK140 turn signals and an electric cooling fan. Chassis 670895 was built in October 1950 and sold new by Hornburg Jaguar Distributors in Los Angeles in 1951. In 1971, the car was purchased by the friend of the current owner, who drove it about 1,000 miles home and then parked it in his garage with the intention of a future restoration. In 1988 the current vendor purchased the original 670895 and commissioned a restoration that would take the next eleven years. Once removed from the chassis, the body was found to be in excellent condition with no metal replacement necessary. The chassis and suspension were fully restored as was every other component except for the engine, which was found to have been previously rebuilt.

The owner is a driving enthusiast and thus had a few mild modifications made, including a stainless steel exhaust, more reliable electronic ignition and electric cooling fan. Being a taller fellow, he had special seat cushions made that are about half as thick as the originals, although the correctly restored originals come with the car. With safety in mind, he upgraded 670895 with a turn signal system from an XK140. The owner also sourced correct chrome knock-off wire wheels from the UK but has retained the refurbished rare original disc wheels, including the re-chromed hubcaps and medallions. Finished in Antique White with Red Connolly leather interior and Fawn top, this example has seen less than 5000 miles since completion (the odometer was reset when the instruments were restored). Included with the car are photos from before and during restoration, receipts and a Jaguar Heritage Certificate.
