This 1951 Jaguar XK120 roadster was dispatched to La Jolla Motor Imports of La Jolla, California, in August 1951, and the car was purchased by the current owner in 2021 and refurbished between March 2021 and March 2024 by It’s Alive Automotive of Bridgeton, Missouri. Powered by a 3.4-liter inline-six linked with a five-speed manual transmission, the vehicle is equipped with a custom fuel-injection system that utilizes triple Jenvey throttle bodies. The car is finished in Bronze with a Sand convertible top over Biscuit and Tan leather upholstery, and features include an aluminum radiator, an auxiliary electric cooling fan, front disc brakes, body-color 16″ steel wheels, hubcaps, driving lights, OBP Motorsport pedals, three-point seatbelts, USB power outlets, and Smiths gauges. This XK120 is now offered on dealer consignment with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, 2021–2024 refurbishment and service records, a tonneau cover, wheel spats, a car cover, and a clean California title in the name of the owner’s family trust.
The car was finished from the factory in Bronze and was repainted during the aforementioned refurbishment. Exterior equipment includes a Sand convertible top, a split front windshield, driving lights, fender-mounted dual side mirrors, and twin polished exhaust outlets.
Body-color 16″ steel wheels with Jaguar-logo hubcaps are mounted with Pirelli Cinturato tires measuring 185VR16. The front brake rotors are drilled, slotted, and vented. A custom parking brake and GAZ rear shocks have been installed.
The cabin features bucket seats with Biscuit and Tan leather upholstery complemented by color-coordinated door panels and carpeting. Amenities include OBP Motorsport pedals, USB power outlets, a battery-shutoff switch, three-point seatbelts, and a dashboard-mounted rearview mirror.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a reverse-sweep 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 46k miles; true mileage is unknown.
The 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six features an aluminum radiator, an auxiliary electric cooling fan, and a stainless header feeding a stainless exhaust system.
The custom fuel-injection system is integrated with triple Jenvey throttle bodies.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.
More than 100 pages of refurbishment records from It’s Alive Automotive.
The Production Record Trace certificate from the Jaguar Heritage Trust shows a build date of June 26, 1951, plus factory colors and identification numbers and delivery to La Jolla Motor Imports.
