A very famous Jaguar XK120 OTS LHD that was driven in the ‘1952 Daily Express - Race of Champions’ at Silverstone. Jaguar supplied all these specially tuned Cars for the Race and this example was driven by Prince Bira of Siam, who finished the race 3rd.

The Race Winner? None other than a very young Stirling Moss.

The 6 Cars were supplied by Jaguar, unusually in LHD for this UK race, from their Factory Stock - and the Drivers randomly selected a Car which they had a few test laps to try out.

After the Race the cars were returned to Jaguar Stock, once returned to standard road spec., and allocated to new Distributor Orders, with the new buyers being none the wiser.

This Car was identified early on as the famous ‘Race of Champions’, driven by Prince Bira, and has been in a long term US collection for over 35 years.

The Car, now back in the UK has benefited from a recent mechanical rebuild and is fully matching numbers with Jaguar Heritage Certificate. The Car is finished in a beautiful Pale Blue Pastel Shade with a Dark Blue Leather Interior.

This very special Car comes with fitted Jaguar luggage from period, and rare Jaguar full tool kit and is a very rare opportunity to buy a vehicle of considerable significance.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
