The numbers quoted here for 672516 need consideration. The engine number quoted here is W5422-8 which was fitted to 672546 new together with the gearbox quoted here JL11703. No entry at this stage on this website for 672546. The body number quoted here F4571 was from another car altogether. A Barris mod'd car looking like this was mentioned in Road & Track in May 1953. 672516 was ordered new from a dealer apparently in Africa, but delivered from the works so it may never have gone to Africa. There was a car in Belgium offered at auction quoting chassis 672516 and all the correct matching numbers for 672516. Might the Barris car in fact be 672546? This was sold new via Los Angeles. I do not have the answers - only questions!

Note: Photo posted 7/9/24 is from an expired Apr 2, 2023 Catawiki auction in Belgium, not sold. Said to be 672516 see above comments concerning this VIN. No proof of VIN shown in the auction.
