The heritage certificate recorded that the car was exported to Hoffmans, New York. One former keeper was Mary Jane Barton of Massachussetts who purchased the car on 17 July 1990 and owned it up to May 2002.

    Car listed as sold at:

    Seller's description:

    Jaguar XK120 OTS LHD 1953 - SOLD

    Chassis no: 673579

    Registration no: 723 UXF

This Jaguar XK120 open two seater (roadster) was originally shipped to the U.S.A. and sold by Hoffman or New York. The car appears to have been returned to the UK in the early 2000's and has since been extensively upgraded.

This is a nicely presented XK finished in Gun Metal paint with red interior. On its original steel wheels and spats the car retains a charming 1950's look. Underneath the car has many upgrades to improve the driving experience including a five speed gearbox, front disc brakes, alternator, electric cooling fan, polyurethane suspension bushes and bucket backed seats.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
