Dating from 1953, this particular left-hand drive roadster spent most of its early life in the USA before being returned to these shores from California in 1990. At some point it has been fitted with a larger and more powerful 3.8-litre XK engine. The current vendor acquired the car about 8 years ago and has spent much money on improvements since. These included rebuilding the engine and upgrading the cooling system, fitting servo-assisted Coopercraft front disc brakes, a stainless steel exhaust and an aluminium fuel tank.
Now said to be thoroughly well sorted with excellent road manners, a good turn of speed and a fabulous exhaust note, the car is in regular use and has taken part in many outings in its native Ireland, including the Dunboyne Revival and the Wolseley autumn rally. It is only reluctantly being sold due to lack of storage.
