We are delighted to offer this stunning matching numbers Jaguar XK120 OTS onto the market. Presented in the classic British Racing Green with Black Leather upholstery, this incredibly sharp car was dispatched to Max Hoffman of New York and first registered in New Jersey on the 15th of April 1954 where it remained until being imported into the UK in 2016. Upon its arrival, the XK has gone through a meticulous course of preparation with a Yorkshire based classic car business, including a RHD conversion.
Going back further in the cars history, in 1971 Mr Thomas Burnett purchased the car for $1, 000 and receipts detail thorough maintenance throughout his impressive 34-year ownership. Large expenditure covered a new wiring harness, a new clutch kit, and a body restoration in the late 1990s. Following the period of long-term ownership, the XK changed hands in 2005 again remaining in New Jersey. Ten years later, Northern Jag who are based both in the UK and America, imported the 120 to the UK where it was registered 328 UYR in 2016. The first UK owner commissioned the RHD conversion along with a complete mechanical refresh. The cylinder head was removed and rebuilt, several areas of the trim work were replaced, and the braking system was fully overhauled. A full new exhaust system was fitted as well as a full new set of Michelin tyres.
Many years on from the late 1990's re-paint, the body presents superbly and it is clear to see that the Jaguar has been very well looked after by its New Jersey based owners. With the recent major mechanical expense, the Jaguar provides a superb driving experience and from our initial test drive this is certainly a car you would be confident to take on long-distance tours and weekends away.
