I believe you have the wrong chassis number and engine number, they belong to my 53 DHC . Do you have the original data plate?

thank you, David

Ebay item 6/24/23

Warning, car has been previously reported to be 677129 (Australia), please use diligence to verify the numbers on this car.

www.ebay.com/itm/304995183498

Car has a buy it now price of $59,500 for 29 days, seller dmar73, now said to be in Harleysville, Pennsylvania.

Seller's description:

Here’s your chance to buy a true barn find with dust included! One of 1400 Drophead Coupes produced and ORIGINAL PAINT!! As the story goes the owner parked it in 1966 and put it up on blocks where it sat for 57 years, thankfully it was very dry! I also have paperwork showing its last use in May of 1966. The automobiles condition is as follows, there is only surface rust on the undercarriage! (Come take a look or send your inspector, I stand by that statement!) The body is rust free! The interior appears to be redone in the early 60’s in vinyl.. dash was covered too, but the original walnut dash is there and just needs to be refinished. The top is fully intact but dried out and will need replacement. The motor is free and has very good compression and holds 40psi of oil pressure. I have not tried to start it, the fuel system needs to be cleaned out carburetors rebuilt (that may happen unless it sells sooner) All proper procedures were followed to prep the motor to check oil pressure and make sure the cylinders were free. I’m sure there’s a 100 more things to add or questions to be answered.. fire away!

**** all matching numbers (body, block, head, transmission! )

*brakes work as does the parking brake

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
