Opening bid $30,000, no bids yet, 9 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
    1951 Jaguar XK 120
Mechanically sound and complete, vehicle is stock with no modifications.
Repairs within the last five years include a complete exhaust system, rebuilt front end, and new tires.
Car has been professionally maintained and always garaged.
This car is being sold with a spare engine that is disassembled and incomplete (missing pistons), however it is the original engine with numbers that match the car. It consists of the block, head, cams, crankshaft and carbs. There is also an extra radiator and other misc. parts.
Chris's family is the second owner of the car, his uncle purchased the car in 1970 or 71. At that time he had it striped it to bare metal and repainted. There is no accident damage to the car
There are no surprises under the hood, everything is stock, it is a 1951 car with low miles.
There is a small area of blistering paint just above the exhaust pipe, don't know if this is from heat or rust under the paint.
Since 1970/71, the car has always been garaged.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
