This 1952 Jaguar XK120 is a left-hand drive Fixed Head Coupe that was sold new at Charles Hornburg Jaguar in Los Angeles, purchased by the seller's father in Pasadena 39 years ago, and moved to Lewiston, Idaho soon thereafter. Power is from the original 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission, and recent mechanical work included a tune-up, choke adjustment, and front wheel cylinder repair. The car has been located in the Seattle area for nine years and the seller's family is said to have added just 4k of its 84k indicated miles since 1979. This XK120 is sold with a Jaguar Heritage Certificate, records dating to the late 1970s, a service booklet, a factory tool roll, and a clean Washington State title in the seller's name.

Originally finished in Battleship Grey, the car was repainted in its current Primrose Yellow in 1980 and used sparingly thereafter. The older finish and front-end brightwork are shown up close in photos. The seller notes the presence of occasional surface rust.

Painted steel disc wheels wear polished hub caps and beauty rings, with the rear hidden under a set of full spats. Period-look tires were installed in 2009.

The interior was originally red according to the Heritage Certificate, but now features black upholstery and carpeting. The stock lead-acid battery has been replaced with an Optima unit behind the seats. Door seals show evidence of their age, and the wood dash trim harbors cracks in its finish.

The seller reports that the coolant temperature gauge and clock are inoperative. The odometer shows just over 84k miles which the seller believes to be accurate.

The 3.4L twin-cam six features twin SU carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual gearbox with synchromesh on the top three gears. The car was recently serviced with a tune-up and repair of the electric choke per the seller. The brakes were also adjusted, and a leaky right front wheel cylinder was replaced.

Suspension bushings were replaced and new tires were installed when the car was relocated to the Seattle area in 2009. Additional photos of the underside are provided

The Jaguar Heritage Certificate lists the body, chassis, and engine numbers, with the latter matching a corresponding stamp on the cylinder head. Service records dating back over 35 years are also included, though the seller notes that little work has been required over the family's ownership.

A factory tool roll is supplied along with the original-style jack, tire pump, and grease gun. The "Operating, Maintenance, and Service" handbook is also included and features delivery notes from the original date of purchase.

This Jaguar XK 120 FHC (Fixed Head Coupe) was delivered to first owner W.A. Baker in April 1952. The car originally had a battleship gray exterior over a red interior.

This rather exciting color combination was changed in 1980 by the father of the last American owner to Primrose yellow exterior over a black interior.

The car was purchased by a Dutch collector from the current owner after his father had owned the car for 39 years.

This XK 120 can be driven 'as is' or is an excellent candidate for a (concours) restoration.

We have found that the Moss gearbox needs careful handling (double clutch and slow shifting) to shift down from 4th to 3rd and third to second gear.

The XK 120 FHC is powered by a 3.4-liter six-cylinder gasoline engine. The use of the XK engine with double overhead camshafts made the XK 120 FHC a powerful and fast car.

The car has a solid chassis and body, beautiful chrome, JDHT certificate, matching numbers and miscellaneous tooling. The paint shows some imperfections

The car is in good driving condition. In addition, the chassis and body are solid and the chrome is nice. The paint shows some imperfections.

This is the early FHC version with the correct features; grill, windshield and chrome. The car comes with JDHT certificate, Matching numbers, Dutch registration, Tool kit, Tire pump, Grease gun and jack. 84,000 miles, believed to be original.
