cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-XK-120-1953-Jaguar-XK120-Fixed-Head-Coupe-Restore ...
Current bid $25,100 reserve not met 13 bids 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
This particular XK120 FHC underwent a full restoration and has been driven less the 100 miles since completion. It is a multiple award winner from various shows and still retains the craftsmanship of the work that was completed. It is resplendent in a bright and correct red exterior and a beautiful tan leather interior. This car makes a statement wherever it arrives. It has been professionally maintained and stored in a climate controlled garage where it is proudly displayed with the owner’s other classics.
The motor in this car has an uprated head and thus produces in excess of 200bhp. The motor features twin SU carburetors, porcelain headers, and a stainless steel exhaust. The engine compartment is beautifully finished and absolutely spotless. An electric cooloing fan has been carefully added to make this car drivable in all climates. The Lucas Tri-Bar headlights, 7.5 inch driving lamps, and leather hood strap add to the overall sporting flavor of this beautiful sporting machine.
Once inside the cockpit, you are greeted by the steering wheel featuring the Jaguar logo. The dashboard is perfect with no marks and all of the Smiths gauges are clear and flawless. The leather hides and carpets are beautiful and show virtually no wear or use. There is storage behind the rear seats that is covered by the correct carpeted parcel shelf. In the trunk you will find a correct spare mounted on a matching disc wheel. The wood in the trunk is new and perfect as is the carpet and tool kit. The car also features a correct period owner’s manual.
The exterior paint is excellent and the chrome is in similar condition. The disc wheels with their elegant hub caps show no marks. Adding to the elegance is a set of rear wheel skirts, chrome fender mounted rear view mirrors, and wheel trim rings.
This Jaguar is ready to be enjoyed today. It is welcome at countless shows and tours. It is the perfect companion for the Colorado Grand, California Mille, or any classic car show or tour.
