Ebay item 4/6/12 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $5,655 reserve not met, 11 bids 5 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Jaguar XK120 Fixed Head Coupe. Last registered, in New York, as a 1954. The gentleman I purchased it from believes it is a 1952 model, first registered in 1954. I have the New York registration card, expired September 1966, that serves as title in that state. Said gentleman owned the car in Ithaca, New York. He drove it west to Venice, CA in 1962. Four years later, in 1966, he parked it, in running condition.
Some repairs where initiated at that time. The brake drums are off, they are included. Some brake hardware is missing from some of the hubs. One carburetor is missing. The radiator is missing. A set of valve shims was purchased, they are included. The distributor cap, rotor, and plug wires are missing. There is a box with some brake hoses, ignition points, oil filter, etc. included.
The car has sat in this state, outdoors, covered, since 1966. The engine has had oil down the plug holes, and turned periodically. It turns freely. The gear box shifts, the car steers, and rolls easily. It does not run.
The car has corrosion issues. The frame is rusted through in spots, notably under the driver seat, where the rear leaf spring mounts, and the forward frame horns, where the sway bar mounts. The frame does appear straight, I was able to raise the car from various points with no flex. The floors are mostly gone, the door sills are perished. The nose has some old repairs. The headlight, and signal pods are rusted. Other affected areas include, but not limited to, fender seams, inner fenders, trunk, the fuel tank, the exhaust system, and as much as I could capture in the pictures.
The aluminum doors are complete, the windows operate, as well as the latches. They close, and fit in their openings. The trunk, and hood, are straight. The grill is missing a couple slats, others are loose, and need re-soldering.
The upholstery is disintegrated. Some of the interior wood is missing, or rotted. The gauges, and switches, appear intact. The seat frames are intact. The battery box area is solid, the batteries are missing.
The tires hold air, but are rotted, along with most of the rubber components on the car.
The windshield has cracks, the rear, side, and vent windows are good.
The engine number does not match the data plate. The cylinder head does not match the block. I have not checked the gearbox numbers. The chassis number, stamped on the data plate, is 680021. Please note, the registration card has the engine number written as the vin.

Current bid $4,494 reserve not met, 3 bids 9 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Hanover, Massachusetts.
Sellers description:
This 1954 XK120 is very complete. The interior of the car, I don't believe, has ever been taken apart. All the doors are very complete with panels and it is very complete behind the seats where the batteries go. The engine on the car turns freely, the head does not match the block, though. The car steers and rolls so it is easy to ship. All the chrome around the windows and glass is intact. The frame appears to be in good condition, I don't see any rot holes in it. I do not see any of the major expense components missing. It did have a radio at one time where the ashtray goes, but the whereabouts is unknown. This to me is the best looking coupe Jaguar ever made. I do have a clear title on the car. The car is being sold needing total restoration.
Previous auction, sold for $12,000.
