This 1952 Jaguar XK120 Fixed Head Coupe was acquired by the seller in 2010 and subsequently underwent a body-off refurbishment between 2011 and 2016. Powered by a 3.4-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission, the car is finished in white over tan leather. Equipment includes a split bench seat, a burl wood dashboard, and brown wire wheels. The car has a 1973 Texas inspection certificate on the windshield and is said to have resided in Oklahoma before being relocated to Washington, where the seller acquired it from the prior owner of 21 years. This XK120 coupe is offered with manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit, receipts from current ownership, and a Washington title in the seller’s name.
The ivory-colored body was refinished during the aforementioned refurbishment, which was initiated in 2011 by British Motor Company of Eugene, Oregon and completed in late 2016 by BritSport of Seattle in Washington. Features include tri-bar headlamps, split front bumpers and rear bumperettes, fender-mounted front turn signals, a split windshield, fender vents, and leather hood straps.
Brown 16″ wire wheels with two-eared knock-off hubs are mounted with Coker Classic whitewall tires. A matching spare is situated in the trunk.
The cabin is upholstered in tan leather with matching carpets and trim. A rearview mirror is mounted atop the burl wood dashboard.
A four-spoke steering wheel fronts centrally mounted Smiths instrumentation that includes a 140-mph speedometer, a reverse-sweep tachometer with a 5,200-rpm redline, and gauges monitoring oil and fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 67k miles, and true mileage is unknown.
The 3.4-liter twin-cam inline-six is fed by twin SU carburetors and features polished camshaft covers.
The serial number on the cylinder head (W6006-8) matches that on the firewall-mounted build plate.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
A tool kit and a mallet for the knock-off hubs are included in the sale along with an owner’s manual and records from current ownership.
The title uses the engine number in place of the car’s chassis number, which is 680057.
