Currently owned by new president of the JCNA who has restored the car to a tasteful custom state. The car was present for the 2006 Jaguar club of central Arizona concours in downtown Phoenix. I hope to get some photos of the car from Dennis who says there is a whole CD full of photos from some Jaguar of North America photo shoot.

1953 Jaguar XK120M Fixed Head Coupe
Chassis No. 680795
Offered Without Reserve
1953 Jaguar XK120M Fixed Head Coupe
Estimate: $100,000-$120,000 US
- Breathtakingly restored
- Multiple awards
- Artistically and elegantly modified to reflect Jaguar's heritage
Painted in a striking gloss black over Magnolia hides, the 1954 Jaguar XK120 Fixed Head Coupe offered here is a multiple award-winning example of one of Jaguar's most impressive vehicles. It has been recognized by Jaguar's North American office and was displayed at the company's headquarters in Irvine, California for two months in 2005.
Featured in the program for the 2004 Cranbrook Concours d'Elegance in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, the Jaguar also won the coveted Judge's Choice award at a 2003 marque gathering in Phoenix. It has also been used as an advertising car in vehicle detailing firm Zymol's 2005 campaigns. In addition, the XK120 was the first American-owned car to ever be featured on the cover of Jaguar Heritage Magazine.
Brought to its current condition under the supervision of noted Jaguar expert Bill Richert, this XK120 was treated to a stunning in-depth restoration consisting of expertly laid acrylic paint and beautifully completed Connolly leather. Underhood, the Jaguar's engine bay has been finished to an especially high level, and it includes meticulously polished aluminum detailing.
Lightly and tastefully modified by a highly knowledgeable and respected Jaguar enthusiast, this XK120 coupe represents its current owner's vision of what would have been an early pre-production concept car had the coupe been unveiled alongside the roadster in 1948. As such, it features special one-off wheel covers, sculpted headlamps from a C-Type and license plate lamps from a D-Type, among other Jaguar-correct features. The result is a unique but incredibly subtle creation that could either dazzle Jaguar faithful or be returned to factory correct at the next owner's demand.
At once instantly recognizable yet painstakingly and uniquely detailed throughout, this XK120 Fixed Head Coupe is truly a one-of-a-kind masterpiece awaiting center stage in any collection.

This 1953 Jaguar XK120 is a fixed-head coupe example that was built on February 13, 1953, and initially distributed via Budd & Dyer of Montreal, Canada. The car is said to have been acquired by the current owner in 1998 and subsequently refurbished and modified in the early 2000s. Work involved installing recessed headlights with glass covers, refinishing the body in black, and refreshing the interior in Magnolia Connolly leather. Following completion of the work, the car was awarded the Judge’s Choice Award at the 2003 Jaguar Cars of North America Challenge Championship held in Phoenix, Arizona. Power is provided by a 3.4-liter inline-six fitted with dual SU carburetors and mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The left-hand-drive car rides on 16″ wire-spoke wheels with louvered covers and is equipped with an aluminum radiator, Koni front shocks, a tinted rear window, and gloss black interior trim. Service performed in 2024 reportedly included cleaning the fuel system and replacing the battery. This XK120 FHC is now offered on dealer consignment with service records, a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, and a clean Arizona title.
As part of the aforementioned refurbishment, the front and rear bumperettes were removed, and their mounting points were smoothed along with the front inlets and fender vents. The fender-mounted indicators and rear license plate lamp were also removed, while C-Type-style tri-bar headlights with glass covers and polished bezels were fitted prior to a repaint in its current black. Side mirrors are mounted on each door, and the rear window is tinted.
The 16″ wire-spoke wheels wear custom polished covers secured via knock-off spinners and are mounted with 215/70 Ohtsu ST5000 tires. A matching spare wheel wrapped in a wide-whitewall tire is stored in the trunk compartment. Koni shocks have been installed up front, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes.
The refreshed cabin houses split-bench seating trimmed in Magnolia Connelly leather with black piping that extends to the color-coordinated door panels and rear storage compartment. Gloss black trim adorns the dashboard and door panels, while tan leather lines the headliner and floors. A slide-out storage tray and dash-mounted rearview mirror are further appointments.
The banjo-style steering wheel features a Jaguar-branded horn button and fronts Smiths white-dial instrumentation including a reverse-sweep 6k-rpm tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 1,400 miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The 3.4-liter inline-six is equipped with polished valve covers and an aluminum radiator. Work performed in 2024 is said to have involved adjusting the dual side-draft SU carburetors as well as cleaning the fuel system, replacing the battery, and changing the oil.
The engine block stamp reads W 7426-8, which corresponds with the engine number listed on the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate. The certificate shows the original colors and drivetrain numbers as well as the build and dispatch dates.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
