Registration JF 216, UK tax expired Sept 1989. Registration OTS 999, the UK MOT test expired Jan 2014, but the vehicle has been declared off the road.

Paul W the registration OTS 999 for this car. I am interested re the source of this information as I am researching it's early history before June 1965

Bill Steele: It was Peter Ingram who initially gave the UK registration OTS 999 back in 2012. However, I don't think this can be correct; the original distributor for the vehicle was Rossleigh, Edinburgh (source David Bentley, XK Gazette May 2000). The registration letters OT were issued in Portsmouth, so I think it unlikely that this vehicle was originally registered OTS 999.
David Bentley is a very knowledgeable source of information on all things XK; David, do you have any additional info?

Sorry, I've just realised my mistake! OTS 999 is a TS district code which is Dundee, not an OT district code. So this vehicle could have been originally registered OTS 999. I'm sorry for the error.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
