According to the Jaguar Heritage Certificate this beautiful Jaguar XK140 OTS Roadster - Chassis No: 810248 was built in Coventry on 18th November 1954 and was exported to the USA.
It remained in the USA until it was sold and imported back to the UK in 1997 when it was converted to RHD and first registered here on 1st February 1998.
It was purchased by the current owner on 1st May 2001 and he carried out lots of upgrades including a front Disc Brake Conversion, Rack & Pinion Steering conversion, Electric Cooling Fan, Aluminium Radiator, new Wiring Looms, the fitting of new Stove enamelled Wire Wheels and splined hubs replacing the original Steel wheels, new Wheel Bearings, full Brake overhaul with new components, new Suspension Bushes including Anti-Roll Bar, a full Engine rebuild and new Clutch, new Propshaft Universal Joints a re-trimmed interior and new carpets, New hood and new Side screens, new Wooden Floor panels, Stainless Steel Twin Exhaust system, rebuilt Carburettors, a complete re-chrome of all Chromework including bumpers, door handles, mouldings and headlamp rims, new Wiring loom, new Wing mirrors and last of all in 2010 a full repaint of the car by MV Classics in Hampshire through Twyford Moors.
Since the Engine rebuild and mechanical upgrades in 2002, the car has only covered 5,000 miles and it really is exceptionally nice to drive.
The car is in overall exceptional condition throughout and it is a totally rust free car with a superb chassis and excellent bodywork and as you can see from the photographs it is presented in excellent condition. It comes with its original Jack & Tools, Grease Gun and its original and repainted rear wheel Arch Spats. It has all history from 1998 including all invoices for works carried out and MOT certificates.
