In 1987, when I sold this car it had 8,000 original miles and was probably the most original XK 140 in the USA at the time.
Delivered by Henry S. Perrin Motorcars in Los Angeles. Distributor was Horburgh, in Los Angeles..
Car was solid wheels, Original Dunlop RS4 White Sidewall Tires from the factory and Fender Spats. Sold at auction then. I owned this car from 1979 to 1987 and was the third owner.
At that time, it bore the original paint and interior. Actually, I still have the original can of Cottswold Blue paint in a tin that was supplied with the car

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
