My name is Nico Balder and I live in the Netherlands. Last week I bought this car in New York.
Have only seen foto's so far, the car has not even left NY. Have to wait around 6 weeks for arrivel.
63 years old but exited like a 6 year old kid who is having his birtday tomrrow.
The car is a Jaguar XK140DHC - 1957 - carmen red - black top - vin number 818923.
Have no history at all. Try to find previous owner(s) or documents related to this Jag.
Any information about history is more then welcome Does anyone recognize the man in the pictures?
I would be very happy if someone can help me.
kind regards Nico Balder.

Nico Welcome to our community of XK enthusiasts. My records show the keeper as R L McKinney of North Fort Myers Florida but that's all Numbers shown all seem OK if they are still on the car. My info comes from the UK Club Jaguar Driver Register dated 1998 They also list a registration number
84022102015 make of it what you will Perhaps it is on any documents with the car

Dear Mr Ingram,

Last week I wrote I purchased XK140DHC in New York (818923)
Can't find any information about the number of XK140DHC cars
produced with a BorgWarner automatic gearbox.
It would be nice to have this information.

Kind Regards Nico Balder

To the best of my knowledge the first 140 DHC with Auto was S818256BW Ref Jaguar 120/140 in Detail by Anders Clausager p.211 I have a note that 818714BW went through Barrett Jackson Auction Scottsdale in 2003 as Lot 384 and had a statement that it was 1 of 63 automatics in this model. Maybe someone out there can confirm or qualify this fact

Dear Mr Ingram,
Thank you very much for this information..These automatic's seem to be
rare. Seems to be difficult to add comments at the moment.
Do you realize that some criminal people use xkdata information and
pictures for scam actions.
Cannot give details because this is a public site.

regards Nico Balder
