The XK Gazette reports the car was at auction April '13. Found info at:
    www.cheffins.co.uk/lot/-663962-vintage-0

    Auction description:
    Lot 856
1959 3442cc Jaguar XK150S Reg. No. 3466 EV Chassis No. 824959DN Engine No. VAS1272-8 This XK was purchased in 2006 from a family who had owned it since 1978, now partially restored, at the time of cataloguing, standing as a bare metal body clearly the subject of much work and appearing to be near finished, mounted on a restored chassis all on spoked wheels. Side glass fitted, no engine, gearbox, interior or trim fitted, supplied as a rolling chassis together with a pallet of chrome bumpers and over riders etc, a qty of parts inside the car and, most importantly a fully restored engine and gearbox. Potentially a most exciting car worthy of further research, V5 documentation present, list of previous owners, receipts etc in the history file.15000-18000

Picture shows an OTS or DHC has it been converted ?
Also engine noted as a 3.4 should be a V or VS, but engine number shows a 3.8 with VAS title .
First FHC RHD with VAS title was T- 825028dn
Is there a Heritage certificate available .

Car number T825012dn had a replacement VAS engine installed at factory from a VS.
This was prior to the production line installations of VAS engines for the FHC.

Same VAS-1272 engine noted in car 825351 as noted by Peter Ingram. However this shows an 8-1 compression, Did they ever make an 8-1 VAS ?

Surely a typo should be changed to -9

The engine alone was offered today on Belgian Ebay with engine number VAS-1272-8

This car S-824959dn was never built with a 3.8 VAS engine,

All RHD Fixed Head Coupe chassis numbers started with T- 825 xxx-9 except five cars which started with an S-825xxx,

The engine number stamping on this engine however does look like a factory punching. But why 8-1 compression.?

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
