From ebay, 1st Sept 08

1958 XK 150 SE Roadster. L.H.D. Wire wheels, disc brakes. Chassis No. S.831537
Body No. F 18555. That, as they say, is the good side! The car has been stored in a lock up garage for over 30 years without moving and has no engine. The two rear wings are missing
but good unused items are supplied. The bodywork is generally sound but needs new B posts, aluminium bonnet and boot are good. Drivers door good, other a bit rusty. Bottoms
of wings good. Chassis looks quite sound on cursory inspection. Dashboard all complete,
as original but no rolltop. Wheels have been removed lately. Calipers rusty and seized.
I have many spares including new rear light plinth and rear bumper, rear badge bar . Decent steering wheel and horn button also. Under bonnet state is quite clean. I also have
a gearbox and the axle is fitted. Seats are there but in a bad way. In short, here is the basis of a rare and valuable thoroughbred sports car in need of total restoration.
Situated near Heathrow airport may be seen by appointment. Contact No 07851755246
There is no V5 Log Book available.

On 29-Aug-08 at 20:43:29 BST, seller added the following information:

A Heritage Certificate can be applied for but this will not yield a Log Book, just a note of factory records. The car was imported from the
USA in the 70s and tax was paid but all paperwork has been lost.
(Last owner deceased) The car must be restored, inspected by either
the JDC or JEC for authenticity and with the clubs blessing a V5 may be applied for.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
