This 1954 Jaguar XK120 SE roadster is a disassembled project that was stripped in the 1970s by a previous owner with plans for a restoration before they passed away. The car was subsequently stored in a garage and acquired by the selling dealer in 2020. The project includes a body shell, a chassis, a 3.4-liter inline-six, and a four-speed manual transmission. Additional parts include a gray convertible top, 16″ knock-off wire wheels, chrome bumpers, a front grille, trim pieces, and Smiths gauges. This project Jaguar is now offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, a photo album, spare parts, and a clean Michigan title.
The car was originally Pastel Blue and was stripped of its paint in the 1970s.
A complete list of the parts included in the sale has been provided by the seller. Over 400 photos of the included parts can be viewed in the gallery.
The painted 16” knock-off wire wheels are mounted with an older set of tires. The car was factory equipped with an independent front suspension and four-wheel drum brakes. The selling dealer notes that the chassis was restored in the 1970s.
Smiths instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, a reverse-sweep 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 66k miles. Wiring looms are included.
The 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six is mounted in a wood cradle and bolted to the four-speed manual gearbox. The seller notes that the engine spins freely when turned by hand, though the internal condition is unknown.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists the original colors and powertrain numbers.
A photo album documenting the car when assembled, during disassembly, and showing the parts is included in the sale. An original XK120 owner’s manual and parts book also accompany the car.
