History: This vehicle was delivered new to the U.S. in 1954. Ordered by its first owner with the famous “Special Equipment” package, the car produces 180 hp (instead of 165 hp) thanks to special camshafts, a reworked exhaust system, and a lightweight flywheel.
The car was purchased by its current owner in 2015. He brought it back to France when he moved in 2016 and has kept it ever since. The file documents the complete restoration carried out in 2005, followed by a repaint in 2006.
Condition:
General: The car is in superb overall condition and comes with a file containing numerous invoices, old titles, appraisals, etc. It is ready to hit the road and is the perfect candidate for participating in numerous historic events. Appraised at €130,000 in 2016.
Mechanics: The original engine is in very good working condition. The engine starts well both cold and warm and delivers full power. The drum brakes and shock absorbers are in good condition.
Exterior: The car underwent an extensive restoration in 2005 and remains in superb condition. The floor panels, trunk, and panel alignment are all in good condition.
Interior: The upholstery (seats, door panels, dashboard) has been restored and is in very good condition. The original equipment is in perfect condition. The sand-colored soft top is flawless, and the car comes with matching-color windows.
Chassis and Undercarriage: The car handles very well. It is perfectly balanced and handles corners well. The chassis is in excellent condition and free of rust or corrosion.
