listed on eBay
as item 300172291705. The seller's ad provides the following details:

Jaguar collectors, here is the car for you!!! A one owner, pristine, unmolested 1954 Jaguar 120M. 56K original miles with extensive documentation. Never driven in bad weather. Garaged from the first day of ownership. Has won numerous show awards for originality and condition. Even the paint shines as new. No bodywork ever. Recent tires and brakes for safety reasons only. Car comes with all the original owners manuals and documents of sale to the current and only owner. How many of these could be left? You could look for years and not find as fine an example of this popular Jag model. This is not a project car! It's a turnkey car that you can take directly to and win the next British car show near you. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. This is a rare beauty and those of you who know these cars I'm sure can appreciate the value of it's original owner history. I'm selling this car for my friend and if I cannot answer your questions, I'll put you in touch with the owner directly. The car is located in Palm Beach, Florida. You can email me at Jimjyates@aol.com.

And again:
After receiveing numerous questions about this car I've talked to the owner again and have the following details to add. The VIN is 5676322. This car received a professional cosmetic restoration (paint and interior) around twenty five years ago after which it took first place and scored 99.4 at a British Car show on Long Island. So, clearly is was done properly. Documentaion of this as well as the New York Times article about this car will go with the car. No body work was needed. The owner then moved to Florida and the car has been used only on nice days for shows since then. Garaged and covered always. The actual mileage is 46K not 56K. Hope this answers most of your questions.

Of the 1052 known survivors of this model there are only 22 later cars known.
Total production of 120 Roadsters in LHD was 6436
It would be nice to know the vital numbers for this original one

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
