Car to be at auction 4/11
    www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

    Auction description:
    Lot 152 - 1953 Jaguar XK120 SE Roadster
    Estimate: £60,000 - £70,000
    Registration Number: EU Taxes Paid
    Chassis Number: S676332

The vendor confirms this stunning XK120 has recently undergone a complete mechanical by Adriano Nicodemi, a well known and respected Jaguar specialist in Padova, Italy. The car underwent a mechanical and frame restoration, including €4,000 spent on an electrical system to original specifications. We are informed the body is very good order with the black hide interior described as being good. The wire wheels are new as is the exhaust system.

With EU taxes paid, an Italian MoT certificate (Collaudo) this XK120 is supplied with a Heritage Trust Certificate. The owner has confirmed that the car is a genuine left hand drive, matching numbers example.

These drophead examples aptly reflect the chic of the 40s and 50s and one would have to search long and hard to find a better example than the car offered here.

This car is not matching numbers, not sure the replacement engine is a true "S". The paint is old, and rust is ready to unveil in some areas. The original colour seems red. False exhaust , single entry double exit. Rust holes under the
side of interiors . Interiors are old-average. Not sold , estimate £60-70,000. The car came from US, than Italy. The description of the car seems rather optimistic.

I agree with previous comments . The interiors are in sky, not leather, and the paint is gone. The body is not "in order".
No original brass plate in the car , how it can be considered "stunning" ?

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
