Current bid $10,100 reserve not met, 4 bids, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
We are liquidating the personal car collection of Dr. Francis Kessler of Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Kessler bought this beautiful Jaguar new, as a present for his wife. She and the car can be seen in the 1954 Battelle Memorial Institute newsletter included in the sale. This unique one owner car, with only 84,000 original miles, has the original books, most original paperwork and service records, original leather and interior, and like new tires. The paint and body are in excellent condition. It starts, runs and drives like new. The car was meticulously maintained by Dr. Kessler, and is a rare find today.

Current bid $26,098 reserve not met, 9 bids 8 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Corning, New York.

Sellers description:
This amazing vehicle was purchased in 2008 during the liquidation of the personal collection of Dr. Francis Kessler of Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Kessler purchased this vehicle brand new for his wife, which in 2008 made me just the second person to own this beautiful automobile. This Jaguar is very original and has been extremely well maintained. It is perhaps one of the best designed automobiles of its time. It's fun to drive and guaranteed to turn many heads. A newer interior (1974) is balanced by older seats with great patina. The paint and body are in excellent condition and the car starts and drives great! I am in the process now of reducing my own personal collection and am proudly offering this classic car at an astonishing price.

Current bid $20,100 reserve not met, 7 bids 6 days left in auction. Same location.

Sellers description:
I am the 2nd owner. The original owner was a doctor from Ohio.

His wife mainly drove the car. When she passed away he sold the car to me.

The original owner did a thorough restoration which appears to have begun around 1974 and continued on until about 1979.

He ordered all the parts directly from Henlys Limited in London. It appears that he periodically traveled to London and selected the parts in person. Then he had the parts shipped to Ohio.

There are volumes of old invoices which document the restoration and shipment of the parts from London.

Sports Cars of Columbus did most of the work on the car. Coach Built Motors did some of the work as well and it looks like McCombe Motors did the body and paint work.

There was axle, fuel tank, and fuel sending unit work performed in the early 90's. I was told the headliner was replaced within the past few years but don't have invoices for it.

The last repair invoice I have from the original owner is for a new battery in 2008. Since I've owned the car I have driven it during the Summer months only.

Otherwise it has been garage kept and professionally maintained in a climate controlled facility.

It has the original engine which runs terrific. The mileage is 84,725.

The burl wood still looks incredible.

The seats are in good condition - not perfect, but very presentable.
The paint is the Old English white. It is in good condition.

There is no rust.

The wire wheels are in very good shape. The tires are in good condition.

I drove the car quite often when I first bought it. I drove it between Corning where I live and Keuka Lake (40 minute drive each way.)

I don't drive this car as much as before. I'm not able to drive my cars as much as I would like. I am approaching retirement and reducing my car collection.

The car is currently being stored in a climate controlled classic car garage/storage facility. My friend owns the facility. He keeps the car in good working order - periodically starting it, driving it, making sure everything works. (I own the restaurant next door).

There was some ignition work done recently, but I'm not sure what specifically was done. However, I know it starts right up now. The clutch and brake pedals are missing the rubber covers - shown
in the pictures.

The serial number is: S681031

The zip code for Corning, N.Y. is 14830.

Current bid US $10,300 reserve not met 5 bids 6 days left in auction, seller mkaufma4-0, car now said to be in Washington DC. Previous auction ended as sold at $64,900 after 37 bids.

Sellers description:
This is really an absolutely magnificent example of the 1954 Jaguar XK120. The Jaguar white exterior combined with the burgundy interior is not something you see often. Rest assured that this car was an original white car, it's burgundy leather seats are original just one whiff is enough to convince any buyer as they still smell of that authentic jaguar leather whose racing heritage is world renown. The woodgrain is original as well and is completely unblemished. In fact, upon sitting in the car I felt as though I had traversed back in time to the "Golden Era." Even the Jaguar wheels the original authentic jaguar wheels which came with the car, which is such a rare find. Furthermore, I have history dating back to 1973 on this Jag including letters from previous owners, service records, registrations, emissions inspections. I also have the original XK120 Jaguar Owners Manual. Finally of course the jaguar is a matching numbers XK120 and 1954 was also the last year of production for the XK120 which adds to its collectibility. I am sure this will make the next owner very very happy and I am looking for the first reasonable offer even if it's below market and fair I'll accept as I've run into medical bills.
