This Jaguar late entry, which missed our catalogue print deadline, purports to be a really fine example of the XK140 as will be confirmed by your detailed inspection here today. For the fixed head, which first left the Browns Lane works in Coventry in 1955, is claimed to be an all numbers matching motor car which reportedly cost ú44,600 when acquired at auction during the 1990s. Indeed, such was its fine condition that the right-hand drive coupe was awarded a third place overall in the XK Day Concours, there being the Concours certificate confirming this in the documents file.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
