This Jaguar XK140 SE roadster was dispatched to Canada in November 1955 and reportedly spent time in France before returning in 1966. It was acquired by the owner’s late father in 2001 and then partially disassembled for a restoration that was not completed. The car is finished in black over red leather upholstery, and the drivetrain consists of a 3.4-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a removable black convertible top, 16″ wire wheels, French-market yellow fog lights, and adjustable seats. This XK140 project is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner at no reserve with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, an owner’s manual, a collection of removed and replacement parts, and Ontario registration.

The car is finished in black, and the exterior rear-view mirrors have been removed from the front fenders. Exterior equipment includes a removable black convertible top that is noted to be in poor condition, French-market yellow fog lights, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes rust in the trunk and lower firewall. The uninstalled instruments are included in the sale and consist of a reverse-sweep 6k-rpm tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer, and an ammeter alongside gauges for oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 3k miles. Total mileage is unknown.

The car has a 3.4-liter inline-six, and the engine block and four-speed manual transmission remain in the vehicle, while the cylinder head has been removed. The engine has reportedly not run since 1971. A Judson electronic magneto is fitted. The removed C-Type cylinder head, twin SU carburetors, and radiator are included in the sale.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate lists a build date of October 24, 1955, along with original colors, equipment, engine number, and distribution through J.L. Cooke Motors of Toronto, Canada. The chassis tag is not attached to the vehicle.
