Car listed as sold at:

Sellers description:
Jaguar XK140 SE DHC LHD 1956 - SOLD

Chassis number: S818182

This is a stunning Jaguar XK140 SE drophead coupé was fully restored to a very high standard in 2013. It has since been excellently maintained and done few miles. The car is left hand drive although it is registered in the UK and all import taxes have been paid. Featuring a C-Type cylinder head, overdrive gearbox and having matching numbers this is a very desirable motorcar.

This XK140 also benefits from many upgrades including electric cooling fan, electronic power steering, a hidden radio, alternator, front disc brakes and inertia seat belts. The car also comes with a nice history folder with many bills and a photo album detailing the restoration.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
