Car offered at:
www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/classic-car-page.php/carno/106330

Description:
Chassis Number S824230DN
Registration No: 0801AE (Netherlands)

A beautiful car fully restored a few years ago in Holland & recently traded to us having been previously sold by "The Gallery" in Brummen.

The car is a fixed head coupe in left hand drive as originally supplied when new. The paint is dark blue & in good order with just a little patination giving the car a period rather then fresh out of the box look. To the interior is lovely grey/blue leather in excellent condition with dark blue carpets.

The car has been completely gone through mechanically. It starts on the button & pulls superbly through all the gears with a barking rasp from the exhaust. I drove it back all the way from Holland via Calais & it ran faultlessly including an indicated 120MPH on the Jabbeke Straight. The engine bay is well detailed & boasts an additional Kenlowe fan to assist in hot weather running.

The car is fitted with chrome wire wheels & 4 good tyres. It is currently dutch registered, but we are in the process of obtaining a UK V5. The car is in stock at our Marlow Storage unit.

Offered at auction in Paris, France, by Bonhams on Feb. 5, 2011
www.bonhams.com/
lot #392 which description reads:
This left-hand drive, overdrive-equipped XK150SE was fully restored in Holland a few years ago. The paintwork is described as in good order with just a little patination giving the car a 'period' rather than 'fresh out of the box' look, while the interior is upholstered in matching grey/blue leather (in excellent condition) with dark blue carpets. The engine bay is well detailed, boasting an additional Kenlowe cooling fan, and the chromed wire wheels are shod with four good tyres. We are advised that the car has been the subject of a complete mechanical check over. It starts 'on the button' and is said to pull strongly through the gears. The vendor drove the XK back to the UK from Holland via Calais and it ran faultlessly, indicating 120mph on the Jabbeke straight. Offered with Heritage certificate, this beautiful car is currently Dutch registered and we understand that a UK V5 registration document has been applied for.

Estimate: €45,000 - 55,000
