This XK150 3.8 Litre is a very late right-hand production car and comes complete with its buff logbook, as well as its original registration plate.

Without doubt the best restored and developed car we have seen and probably one of the best XK150’s in existence.

The original body and panels have been restored and given a full bare metal respray, which have the most amazing shut lines and finish.

The chassis has been seam-welded, and modified for enhancements, then primed and painted.

Steering is now hydraulic powered, and the rebuilt suspension, with adjustable Koni Dampers, is all poly bushed.

The engine is the more reliable and tuneable XK 4.2 short stud, fully balanced crankshaft, pistons and con rods.

Flywheel and Clutch have been fully lightened and balanced and even the water and oil pumps have been upgraded.

For performance, is the big valve and straight port cylinder head, fitted with fuel injection profile camshafts.

Electronic ignition and Twin 2’’ SU -HD8 carburettors, with tuned needle valves feed out through the Hayward & Scott full stainless performance exhaust system.

Power is delivered via the Jaguar 5 speed gearbox, through the balanced prop shaft and 331 rear differential, with its Thornton Power Lock.

Braking has also been upgraded, with 3 pot callipers to the front.

There is a detailed photographic record of the rebuild and development of this amazing Jaguar, and it is understood that the car cost around £250,000

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
