Some highlights from this article:

An XK150 3.8 SE in Indigo Blue with Light Blue trim and chrome wire wheels ordered around Christmas 1959 as a surprise to my mother because it was intended as a present. It was delivered in Aprril 1960 the very last version with the larger tail-lights. From the mid ’70s, the car was moved to a barn at my great uncle’s estate. Towards the end of the decade the car was recommissioned and put back on the road then it just disappeared. It was taken in 1986 by a mechanic who maintained the family collection. Later the car was discovered in Manchester after being sold at auction twice since its disappearance, first through a smaller auction house and then Coys in 2000. We bought the car and recommissioned it with a few upgrades; it now has an RAF Blue interior, painted wire wheels and converted to LHD as the car now lives in Belgium.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
