History:
The car has been locally owned by the same owner for in excess of 30 years and only recently 3 years ago changed hands. The previous owner had the car restored by the founder of Vickerage , Jaguar specialist, in the early 1980s and maintained it regardless of cost. The car is a special equipment model, fitted with a limited slip diff and sporting the 3.8 L engine. The car has recently been worked through by the owner's father, a competent and well known local mechanical engineer / restorer.
Body:
Excellent all round condition, always garaged since its restoration and impeccably maintained. The chrome is also excellent.
Mechanical:
Always maintained regardless of costs, and most recently the car has had a thorough going through to include a new stainless exhaust system, new wheels and tyres, all suspension bushes attended to as required, a new steering rack and the braking system has had the servo replaced plus some of the hydraulic system. Generally the car is excellent and whatever has needed to be done has been done.
Interior:
The leather seats are the originals and are free from cracks and splits.
The leather is supple and serviceable for many years to come.
The side paneling, carpets, and headlining look as if they have been replaced recently and are in perfect order. Both a period radio a modern radio are fitted, the latter is easily removable if required.
Believed Genuine mileage and in excellent condition, the car is ready to go requiring nothing except routine maintanence. The registration number can be included (value £5000) making the car a good bet at £25,000 and £30,000 with the number. The car is for sale due to the owner's bad back.
