This original right hand drive example was supplied to Parkers Ltd. of Bolton and was sold to Wally Brothers Ltd. of Blackburn on the 24th May 1958 as confirmed by its original brown logbook. Five days later it was sold to Cecil Silver Ltd in London and it would seem to have been kept by them until the mid 1980s before being sold to the second owner and the current V5 would seem to indicate that there have been no other owners. Upon examining the paperwork in the history file the mileage would seem to be correct from new at 40,000 miles and only 700 miles have been completed in the last twelve years.
We have here a very rare find, as it is in very good original and unrestored condition, both inside and out, which still retains its 3400cc engine and the original chrome wire wheels and upon inspection the engine started well and sounded lovely.

Sold for £37,800 inclusive of Buyer's Premium

Restored in the 1990s and purchased by the enthusiast vendor in August 2005, this manual transmission XK150 is a very good example. The restoration has mellowed very well, with a pleasant patination, and the car is described as 'on the button' and ready to use. Kept in a heated motor house alongside an E-Type, the 'XK' has been serviced regularly, only driven in good weather and affords the prospect of a great deal of enjoyment throughout the coming summer. Finished in maroon with red leather interior, 'KBV 440' is offered with sundry restoration invoices, current MoT/tax and Swansea V5.

    Lot Notice
Further to our cataloguing, a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, old-style buff logbook, and original Jaguar Service voucher is now present with the vehicle.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
