This 1959 Jaguar XK150 roadster was acquired by the current owner’s late spouse in 1972 and was refurbished and modified between 2006 and 2009, including the installation of a five-speed manual transmission, Wilwood front disc brakes, an aluminum radiator, and Pertronix electronic ignition. The car is powered by a replacement 3.4-liter inline-six and is finished in British Racing Green over tan leather. Features include a removable black soft top, 16″ wire spoke wheels, and adjustable seats. This XK150 is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with a clean Arizona title in the owner’s name.
The car is finished in British Racing Green and was repainted during the aforementioned refurbishment. Features include a removable black soft top, a one-piece windshield, bright trim, and full-width chrome bumpers with overriders.
The 16″ wire-spoke wheels are secured with two-eared knockoffs and are mounted with 185R16 Firestone Classic tires. A full-size spare is stored under the trunk floor, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs. The seller tells us that the suspension was overhauled during the refurbishment, and the car rides on Spax Krypton gas dampers.
The interior was reupholstered during the refurbishment and features adjustable seats trimmed in tan leather complemented by a leather-wrapped dashboard. Interior appointments include a cabin heater, a defroster, wind-up side windows, door storage pockets, lap belts, and a folding rear bulkhead.
The four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 6k-rpm tachometer with an embedded clock as well as a 140-mph speedometer and an ammeter alongside gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 43k miles, few of which have been added since the refurbishment.
The replacement 3,442cc inline-six featured dual SU HD6 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 210 horsepower and 213 lb-ft of torque. The engine was reportedly overhauled during the refurbishment, and Pertronix electronic ignition and an aluminum radiator were installed. Work in April 2025 is said to have involved replacing the battery, spark plugs, and fuel pump.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.
