    Sellers description:
58 Jag XK Coupe. It is all matching & currently has 37026 original miles on it. It was purchased from the original owner by the current owner whom I am listing it for. He has moved to a smaller home & is selling it because of space issues. (too many cars- not enough garage) When purchased, the car had been in a dry garage & unused since the mid 60's. With very little work the car was made roadworthy & really only needed a new clutch. After installing that, it was decided to strip the paint to bare metal & repair one tiny rust area at the rear fender dogleg on the driver side. It was cutout & repaired with new metal welded in. No dents or body damage was repaired- because the body has never been wrecked or damaged in any way. The chrome is all original and in nice shape. The interior is original & in good shape, with the exception of the headliner, which had shrunk & was discolored- so it was replaced. The car has new 15" series one XKE wheel's installed and new tires. The engine starts up easily & the car runs and drives great. The car was painted with Dupont paint in the original "Old english white" This is a straight rust free car. It is located outside Chicago in Crete IL within a minute of I-394. An easy access point for transport or you can drive it home.

    Four-Wheel Disc Brakes

    Private Party or Dealer: Dealer

This 1958 Jaguar XK150 is finished in white over a black interior and is powered by a matching-numbers 3.4L inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car was repainted under prior ownership, and the current owner acquired it in the Chicago area about ten years ago. Features include rear jump seats, wire-spoke knock-off wheels, and four-wheel disc brakes. Records are available from current ownership, and include a new cam cover, cap nuts, dimmer switch, and refinished underhood hardware. This XK150 is offered on dealer consignment with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, records from the current owner, and a clean Illinois title.

15″ wire-spoke wheels feature a chrome finish and are mounted with winged knock-off lugs and Goodyear Assurance tires measuring 215/75. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs, and the seller reports that the left rear caliper was replaced and the brake master cylinder was replaced.

The seats are upholstered in black leather and accompanied by color-matching carpets and door panels. Wear is visible on the seats and other interior surfaces, and the car is equipped with a red Jaguar-branded shift knob for the four-speed manual transmission. The dimmer switch has been replaced, and the dash fascia has been re-dyed.

A factory four-spoke steering wheel is fitted to a telescoping steering column. The dash is trimmed in black and gray leather, and the central instrument cluster includes a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,500 rpm redline. Just over 38k miles are shown on the five digit odometer, approximately 1,200 of which were added by the current owner. The tachometer drive and turn signal switch have been repaired.

Power is provided by a 3.4L DOHC inline-six equipped with a pair of SU HD6 carburetors. Included documentation notes that one of the cam covers and the chrome cap nuts, one of the radiator hoses, and the spare spark plugs were replaced, the cam valley was repainted in green, and various pieces of underhood hardware were stripped, refinished, or polished. The last service was undertaken approximately one year ago.

Stamping V 1313-8 is shown above on the cylinder head and on the engine block in the gallery, and corresponds to the chassis tag and the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission and a live rear axle. Underbody surfaces have been repainted in white, including the frame and suspension components, and overspray is visible on exposed rubber suspension bushings. A hole is present in one of the two mufflers.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate shows that the car was originally distributed through Jaguar Cars in New York, and lists the original colors and serial numbers.
