This 1958 Jaguar XK150 is a non-running Fixed Head Coupe project which was built on November 5, 1957 and dispatched to Delecroix in Paris, France on the 15th of the same month. It received exterior and interior color changes under previous ownership and is believed to have resided in California and Oregon prior to the seller’s recent acquisition. The numbers-matching 3.4L inline-six has been retained and is mated to a three-speed automatic gearbox. The car has reportedly not run since the 1980s and will require mechanical and cosmetic attention. This XK150 is now offered by the selling dealer Cascadia Classic at no reserve with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, period paperwork, a stamped plate from the French distributor, removed stock parts, and a clean Oregon title.

This XK150 was originally finished in Cream, and a repaint in the current hue was performed under prior ownership. The finish displays flaws, including chips, dings, and bubbling, along with swelled and deteriorated weatherstripping. The selling dealer states date-coded Triplex glass has been retained, and the windshield etching. A French-market Talbot mirror is mounted atop the left fender.

Factory knock-off wire wheels show wear and are mounted with an older set of Michelin radial tires and a matching full-size spare. Four-wheel disc brakes are fitted, though the seller notes the front calipers are presently uninstalled and included in the sale.

The cabin was trimmed in Dark Blue leather from the factory and was subsequently reupholstered in brown vinyl while under previous ownership. The seller notes the passenger door window regulator performs poorly, and the corresponding exterior door handle linkage is inoperative.

Centralized Smiths instrumentation includes a 240-km/h speedometer and a five-digit odometer that shows just over 90k kilometers (~56k miles). Note the second gear hold switch to the left of the steering wheel, which prevents the transmission from engaging third gear in hill climbing or high traffic situations

Per the seller, approximately 674 XK150 Fixed Head Coupes were equipped with an automatic transmission. The three-speed Borg-Warner automatic gearbox in this example is mated to a 3.4L twin-cam inline-six which retains factory dual SU carburetors. The engine does not turn freely. Spare items accompanying the car include a fan shroud, air cleaner, and a washer bottle.

Engine number V1839-8 is stamped in the cylinder head above, as well as on the block. Both match the number listed on the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate and corresponding plate.

The 2020 Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists the factory colors and component numbers, as well as initial distribution through Delecroix in Paris, France.
