Seller's description:

1959 – Jaguar XK 150 FHC

Chassis n° S835057BW

Luxembourg registration title

Sold without Control Technique

- Livery new with the Borgwarner automatic box, our car benefited from a complete restoration quite recently: the work is of very good quality, the painting is very beautiful, the celery also, but some details will remain to be resolved by the next person proprietary, like adding mirrors for example.

- XK 150s were powered by the eponymous 6-cylinder engine with a displacement of 3.4 liters, then 3.8 liters, before becoming 4.2 liters shortly after the introduction of the E-Type; the engine in our example was changed at the time of restoration to a more modern and more powerful 4.2-liter unit.

- Numerous improvements were also made at the time of this restoration to put the car in 'Fast-Road' specification: in addition to the 4.2-liter 6-cylinder, a 5-speed gearbox, Coopercraft brakes, an oil cooler and a ' sport' exhaust manifold are fitted!

Est. 50,000 – 70,000 €

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
