Seller's description:
1958 Jaguar XK150 3.4 Drophead Coupe - LHD
36,851 Miles (Indicated)
automatic
LHD
Old English White
Red
3.4L Inline-Six
VIN S837474BW
This Jaguar XK150 3.4 Drophead Coupe (DHC) is a timelessly elegant British grand tourer, which has benefited from some restorative maintenance, including a bare-metal respray.
Power comes from a 3.4-litre straight-six engine, driving the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission with Intermediate Speed Hold.
Originally distributed via Jaguar Cars in New York, this left-hand drive example was first registered with the DVLA in November 2021.
It has reportedly been dry-stored and unused since the restoration was completed.
The odometer shows 36,851 miles, but this is not warranted.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
According to the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, this XK 150 was originally finished in Carmen Red, though it has since been resprayed in Old English White, over a red leather interior with matching carpet.
It rides on a set of 16-inch cross-spoke wire wheels with two-spoke chrome knock-offs, and wrapped in Michelin tyres.
Equipment includes twin front spotlights, a wood-rimmed Moto Lita steering wheel, Smiths gauges, a locking glovebox, and push-out front quarter light windows.
The vehicle will be supplied with its V5C, some restoration photographs, a copy of The Definitive XK Owners Parts Catalogue, a copy of Classic Jaguar magazine from April/May 2019, and its Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate.
A Production Record Trace Certificate was secured from the Jaguar Heritage Trust in 2021, which confirms the original factory specification, stamped numbers, and its delivery information.
CONDITION
Specific notes from the seller include: some very light wear where the seats rub together when tilted forward and back.
The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 17 September 2021 at an indicated 36,841 miles, which was a second-time pass with no advisories.
Please note: This vehicle is now believed to be exempt from mandatory MOT testing due to its age.
SUMMARY
This US-market Jaguar XK150 3.4 Drophead Coupe (DHC) is a timelessly elegant classic ‘2+2’ grand tourer, which has benefited from some restorative maintenance, including a bare-metal respray in Old English White. It would now make a head-turning companion for weekend jaunts, or a desirable addition to a collection of 1950s icons.
